Pūhoro: Increasing Māori participation and engagement in STEMM
Attend a public lecture on the progress, achievements and experiences of the Pūhoro programme.
In this talk, the speakers will talk about the Pūhoro programme, its importance, and how they engage with high school and tertiary students. They will also cover the transition from schooling into tertiary education and into meaning employment. The speakers will also present activities which Pūhoro co-created with local iwi and the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Waikato. An alumnus of Pūhoro will also share his experiences from high school to undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
There is no need to register for this event, just come along and bring a friend or colleague.
