Local IT company’s global excellence acknowledged at Microsoft Partner Awards

Local IT company Aware Group has been recognised for their global success after receiving the Azure Partner of the Year Award for 2021 at the Microsoft Malaysia Partner Awards.

This award can be credited to their partnership with Microsoft which was focused on executing new programs educating local organisations on technology as well as providing value to Malaysian corporations through innovative projects.

“Being awarded Azure Partner of the Year is a wonderful acknowledgement of the great work being done by our team and we hope to continue the momentum in 2022 and beyond.” says Jourdan Templeton, Aware Group’s Chief Technology Officer.

The company has been working in Malaysia since 2018 and as a Microsoft Gold Partner is  also one of Microsoft's preferred partners across APAC for Data and AI.

"As a company that believes in delivering sustainable solutions to all its customers, we are proud to partner with Microsoft and to build our solutions to Azure platform. As more businesses set their sights on newer technologies such as cloud and AI, the need for innovation is critical to ensure long term growth and success."

Aware Group was locally founded in Hamilton in 2016 and now has staff across three countries, including two offices in New Zealand with the recent addition of a Wellington office.  The group supports hundreds of organisations across the globe and in almost every industry- with a focus on AI, big data, and robotics.

Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards

Aware Group was acknowledged as a quadruple finalist in the 2021 Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards, making it their best year yet.

The group’s Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards finalist nominations included the Security award, Data and AI award, Business Applications award, and Digital and Application Innovation award.

Aware Group was awarded the Digital and Application Innovation Award for their work with Ryman Healthcare by creating the Olympics@Ryman, an age-defying Olympic competition across New Zealand and Australia.

Their success with Ryman Healthcare was highly commended due to their innovative solution to use augmented reality and Artificial Intelligence to create a range of sports to be played virtually for the event.

“We took a real agile approach, with constant changes each day to refine our ideas and get them working in reality. Designing in technology, deploying it across all locations across the Tasman and communicating the rules is a big job, and we wanted to make it easy as possible for the Ryman team”, says Brandon Hutcheson, CEO of Aware Group.
