At Connell, we’re looking for the right people to produce the right results, working as Hydrovac Operators in our award-winning civil construction team on our brand new Hydro Excavation Truck.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The two truck drivers / operators that we are looking for will be tasked with operating our new Hydro Excavation Truck across our sites throughout the North Island, largely on our work sites and predominantly in the civil and power sector. The truck that you will be operating has just arrived from Australia, a 2021 Isuzu FYH 300-350 8x4 with an 8000L-2500 hydraulically driven vacuum excavation unit. The role is responsible for driving our truck to and from site, performing hydro excavation operations, and the regular maintenance and upkeep of the unit, and given our hands-on approach at Connell there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in other aspects of our construction works.
You will have:
- Proven experience operating excavation machinery and labouring on a construction site
- A driver’s licence with class 4 endorsement
- The ability to work with our high performing crew to achieve our company objectives
- A willingness to travel
- A commitment to all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality & Environmental compliance onsite
