ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you have an in-depth knowledge of civil construction procedures? Are you prepared to lead your team while overseeing the site operations?
Here at Connell we’re looking for the right people who can get us the right result, as a Contracts Supervisor on our busy sites. We’re looking for someone who can provide full site supervision on our sites in the Waikato region, but also outside of the region as required. We’re looking for a natural leader, who understand how a site operates and who can get the most out of your personnel and subcontractors.
As Contracts Supervisor, you’ll be tasked with working on our many projects, owning the management and coordination. Working to tight timeframes, and closely with our clients, you’ll be forming the foundations of your project to ensure the successful delivery of key milestones. Our sites include brownfield and greenfield electrical substations/switchyards, with many sites involving erecting precast buildings and structures.
You will have:
- A relevant trade qualification is preferred, but not necessary
- Experience as a site supervisor or foreman, managing civil projects
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on team unity
- A commitment to all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality & Environmental compliance onsite

As our projects span geographical regions, it is important that the successful candidate is prepared to travel and stay away as required.
